-
- You bet. Two good ones that we use are:
-
- HP OpenView for Windows (v7.1)
- Castle Rock's SNMPc
-
- Also, as a result of the recent WinSNMP interoperability tests,
- we know that a number of Windows-hosted SNMP managers and
- applications are under development...some are very near completion
- and most will likely be shipping just after the May Interop show.
- Companies with products in this category include:
-
- American Computer
- Cabletron
- FTP Software
- Hewlett-Packard
- NetManage
- NetPort Systems
- Novell
-
- Also, I _believe_ that MultiPort Software, SimpleSoft, and possibly
- Spry are working on implementations and might intend to announce
- products at a future date.
-
- Most of the foregoing WinSNMP efforts run over WinSock.
-
- Also, a number of people are starting to work on the WinSNMP/Agent
- API too, which will undoubtedly support a WinSock interface among
- its transport options.
-
- All in all, it looks like it will be a bloomin' Spring for Windows-
- hosted SNMP products!
-
- (BTW, I almost always forget someone obvious in these messages...
- fortunately, it's usually someone different from the last time,
- so I hope you can see it's not intentional! :-)
-
- Let me know if you need more info in this regard.
-
- Regards,
-
